City’s Sairaju wins silver in Asian junior rowing championship

A 11th class student, Sairaju won silver medals in senior Nationals held here in January. Taking to rowing three years ago, Sairaju has made remarkable progress to represent the country.

Hyderabad: Telangana Sports School rower D Sairaju won silver medal along with Nikhil Golia from Uttarakhand in men’’s coxless pair event in the Asian junior rowing championship being held at Pattaya, Thailand.

A 11th class student, Sairaju won silver medals in senior Nationals held here in January. Taking to rowing three years ago, Sairaju has made remarkable progress to represent the country.

Meanwhile, India won their second silver medal when the coxless four team of Jaskaran Singh, Pramod, lokendra, Akshay Patil finished second in the event.
