Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao hoped that the winter session of the Assembly commencing on Friday would be a highly productive one.
Addressing the TRS Legislature Party meeting in Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, he said the session would be extended beyond December if needed provided the deliberations on public issues were fruitful and meaningful.
Calling for 100 per cent attendance of the legislators of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi all through the session, he said every member must see that the decency and decorum of the house is maintained.
Under any circumstances, the members would not be allowed to storm into the well of the house causing disruption to the scheduled business of the house. He also asked the Ministers to be thorough with facts and figures of their respective departments.
Replies from the Ministers should be to the point. They should feel obliged to come out with full facts on genuine issues raised by the opposition members. While facilitating health debates on the floor of the house, strict time management should also be observed. The question hours should not overlap into other debates.
The government has been firm on conducting the session for maximum number of days in a year. There were occasions when the sessions lasted for 60 to 70 days in a year facilitating discussions on policies and programmes and addressing public grievances.
Chief Minister said that the first day would be devoted mainly to the measures initiated by the government to offset the impact of demonetisation in the State. A note would be tabled to initiate the discussion and it would culminate with the reply of the Chief Minister.
