Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will lay foundation for the proposed TIF-Green Industrial Park in the first week of December at Dandu Malkapur in Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri-Bhongir district. A model residential township will be developed by the Telangana Industrialists Welfare Federation (TIF) adjacent the proposed industrial park.
Industries Minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday directed the officials to prepare a township plan including budgetory requirements and acquire an additional 100 acres for developing the model township that would accommodate about 30,000 people.
Reviewing the progress of the 450 acre industrial park here at Telangana State Industries Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) office, Minister KT Rama Rao the industrial park at Dandu Malkapur is aimed at promoting pollution-free MSMEs. “The industrial park will accommodate 400 MSME units attracting Rs 1,000 crore investment and provide direct employment to 12,000 people as well as indirect employment to 20,000 people. Hence, there is a need to develop a residential township in the vicinity as per the vision of the Chief Minister who wants to create a walk-to-work atmosphere for employees,” he added. He said that the government is ready consider developing the township into a municipality.
Besides establishing the 450 acre industrial park, the TSIIC will develop the residential township in 100 acres. Another 25 acres will be acquired for construction of a government school, Anganwadi centre, play ground, community hall and a primary healthcare centre. The TSIIC had already acquired 377 acres for the industrial park spending Rs 45 crore, while another 80 acres also being acquired. The TSIIC is spending another Rs 25 crore for create infrastructure including formation road, power, drinking water and other facilities. Internal roads and infrastructure will be created by TIF.
TSIIC chairman Gyadari Balamallu, Bhongir MP Boora Narsaiah Goud, Principal Secretary for Industries Jayesh Ranjan, TSIIC managing director EV Narsimha Reddy, chief engineer Lakshmikanth Reddy, TIF president K Sudheer Reddy and other officials, participated in the meeting.
