Collector hosts lunch for SSC toppers in Warangal

Warangal Urban: Hard work has no substitute and it will help in achieving goals, said District Collector Prashant Jeevan Patil here on Sunday while addressing students who achieved 10 GPA (2018-19) in the SSC exams.

He gave appreciation certificates to students and honoured teachers with shawls. A total of 21 students achieved 10 GPA in SSC exams from the Warangal Urban district.

Collector hosted a lunch for the students as well as teachers at his camp office here on Sunday. He has directed the officials of the Education Department to monitor the progress of students who scored 10 GPA in SSC exams even in the Intermediate.

“Students joining Intermediate should take it up as a challenge and excel in it. Results depend on 99 per cent of hardwork and one per cent luck,” he said. As some students expressed their desire to become the civil servants, he said that they must concentrate on Intermediate and Degree first.

“First you achieve good results in Inter and Degree, then prepare for the civil services exam,” he said and asked them to focus on professional degrees. Assistant Collector  B Santhosh, DEO Narayana Reddy and others also spoke. Deputy Director of I&PR, Yasa Venkateswhwarlu was present at the programme.
