Colourful celebrations in Telangana on first anniversary of new districts

Telangana New Districts Anniversary Celebrations

Mancherial/Nirmal/Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Colourful celebrations were held in view of the first anniversary of Mancherial here on Wednesday. Blood donation and cultural programmes marked the occasion. Collector RV Karnan, Mancherial legislator Nadipelli Diwakar Rao and Bellampalli legislator Durgam Chinnaiah were chief guests of the event organized in a private function hall.

Speaking on the occasion, Karnan informed that district authorities were leading in reaching welfare schemes to genuine beneficiaries and providing better administration by having coordination with all departments. Besides improving infrastructure, service delivery in government hospitals was bettered. Similarly, encroachments of government lands were checked by taking special measures.

Diwakar Rao opined that the district was witnessing growth in all aspects following conversion of Mancherial into a district. Not only urban parts, but also remote areas were developed ever since new district was formed. Chinnaiah observed that administration was simplified to citizenry by reorganizing the districts.

Later, top performing drivers of TSRTC were felicitated by Collector and dignitaries.  Earlier, Collector donated blood at a blood donation camp held by Indian Red Cross Society, Mancherial unit, as part of the celebrations. Scores of activists and members of voluntary organisations gave away their blood. Artistes of Telangana Cultural Department presented cultural programmes and rendered songs, enthralling audiences.  

Deputy Commissioner of Police John Wesley, in-charge District Revenue Officer Priyanka, Women and Child Welfare regional coordinator A Saroja, Municipal Chairperson M Vasundhara, ZPTC member Ashalatha, Mancherial Mandal Parishad President B Sathyanarayana were few among others who attended the event.

In the meantime, Endowments minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy laid foundation stone to new integrated collector complex in Nirmal. Forest and environment minister Jogu Ramanna accompanied by Adilabad MP G Nagesh, MLA Kova Laxmi, Sirpur (T) legislator Koneru Konappa part in similar event conducted in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district headquarters. Collector M Champalal, SP Sunpreet Singh and district authorities were present.
