Complaint against AP police official

The DGP has asked Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya to conduct a detailed inquiry into the case.

Hyderabad: A senior sanitary field worker of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Veera Sekhar Reddy, on Wednesday met Director-General of Police Anurag Sharma and lodged a complaint against Andhra Pradesh police official Ramana for threatening to book false cases against him in connection with a civil dispute.

Reddy requested the DGP to render justice to him in the case. The DGP has asked Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya to conduct a detailed inquiry into the case. A departmental inquiry into the role of Rachakonda Special Operations Team (SOT) personnel who helped Ramana is also on.

Meanwhile, the DGP has sought clearance from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in respect of 121 Inspectors for promoting them as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs). He asked the ACB to complete the process by April 26, according to a press release.
