Conclave on E-commerce held

Hyderabad: Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) has organised a business conclave on e-commerce: Current Trends and Future Opportunities.

The industry experts who participated in the event opined that e-commerce has disrupted businesses leading to major changes in industry structure, market place structure and business models.

The experts said the modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web for at least one part of the transaction’s life cycle although it may also use other technologies such as e-mail.

The event was attended by Vinay Peddi, CEO Avantsy Technologies Private Limited, Tagorji Yerneni, CEO and Co-Founder, Letzbank.com, Preeti Sinha, CEO and founder Greens & More, Saketh Shiva and Gaurav Jain, Consultants Mee Seva, government of Telangana, Hemanth Jonnalagadda, Co-Founder Commut, GV Vamshi Krishna, Senior Zonal Manager, Naukri.com and discussed about the current trends and future opportunities in e-commerce.

They said with increasing emphasis on social media penetration, marketers have realized the potential consumer base in tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

VJIM, director, VJIM, Ch. S Durga Prasad in his opening remarks spoke about trends in e-commerce industry that require right set of skills, education and creativity to reap benefits of opportunities which are presented across several dimensions.
