Hyderabad: The Student’s Islamic Organization (SIO) suggested that all universities across the State conduct examination only for final years students pursuing different courses and postpone the exams for the remaining students. It demanded the universities should not collect examination fee now in view of the Covid-19 crisis.

“Degree if just handed over without evaluating the student’s understanding of the subject will also have a long lasting negative impact on the society. It will set a bad precedent for the education system,” said Qayumuddin, State secretary, SIO.

He said several students were demanding the exams be called off and all the students declared pass. “A temporary discomfort of strictly maintaining precautions and appearing for the exam is better than facing future setbacks,” he said.
