Based on the statement given to the police about various financial transactions and money transfers, the Narsingi police issued notices to a few prominent persons to appear before them for questioning.

The socialite allegedly collected crores of rupees from several persons on the pretext of investment in real estate business. At least three cases were booked against her in Narsingi police station in Cyberabad.

The police suspect that many persons were not coming forward to lodge complaints as the money is reportedly unaccounted and many of the victims fear they will come under the radar of financial frauds investigation agencies.

However, the police gathered information from Shilpa Chowdary about the persons who paid her money towards investment in real estate business.

Reports said that the socialite and her husband collected around Rs 30 crore from several persons towards investment in real estate and duped them. During questioning the woman told the police that she had in turn given the money to some other persons for investing in various businesses.
