COVID-19: Mecca Masjid management asks people not to come for prayers

Hyderabad: The management of the historic Mecca Masjid asked people not to come to the mosque to attend Friday prayers.

Mecca Masjid superintendent, M A Khadeer Siddiqui said the government has issued instructions for smaller gathering in view of the COVID – 19 pandemic. Several eminent Islamic scholars have also advised the community to avoid mass congregations. “I request the people not to come to the Mecca Masjid for Friday prayers. We will not permit the public into the mosque,” he said.
