Covid-19: Surveillance and containment measures strengthened in TS

No new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Telangana till 12 noon on Wednesday. So far, 39 persons have tested positive for Covid-19 out of which one person has recovered and already discharged.

Hyderabad: In view of Covid-19 global pandemic, health officials have strengthened surveillance, contact tracing and containment measures against the possible spread of disease.

No new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Telangana till 12 noon on Wednesday. So far, 39 persons have tested positive for Covid-19 out of which one person has recovered and already discharged.

The health officials said that there are a few Covid-19 positive patients who have recovered and have tested negative for coronavirus in the last few days. Such patients will be discharged in the coming few days and will be under home quarantine for another 14 days.

Meanwhile, the lockdown was effective on Wednesday with not many seeking to venture out onto the streets.

From colony roads to main thoroughfares, all remained deserted and the police kept a tight vigil with barricades at all key points. Only those with valid reason to travel were allowed to proceed after checking credentials.
