Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2,043 new Covid-19 infections and 11 fatalities on Thursday, taking the overall toll to 1016 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,67,046. As on Wednesday, the number of active Covid-19 cases in the State is 30,673.
A total of 1,802 persons have recovered by Thursday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,35,357 at a recovery rate of 81.02 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 78.84 percent.
Between Wednesday and Thursday, health authorities conducted 50,634 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 1,039 samples are awaited. Overall, 23,79,950 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State so far.
There are 24,081 Covid-19 positive patients under home isolation across the State while 6,592 positive cases are in institutional care.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 19 from Adilabad, 49 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 314 from areas under the GHMC, 42 from Jagtiyal, 25 from Jangaon, 23 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 17 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 31 from Kamareddy, 114 from Karimnagar, 84 from Khammam, 20 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 26 from Mahabubnagar, 74 from Mahabubabad, 25 from Mancherial, 25 from Medak, 144 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 16 from Mulugu, 32 from Nagarkurnool, 131 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 16 from Nirmal, 65 from Nizamabad, 48 from Peddapally, 46 from Rajanna Sircilla, 174 from Rangareddy, 71 from Sangareddy, 121 from Siddipet, 51 from Suryapet, 20 from Vikarabad, 22 from Wanaparthy, 33 from Warangal Rural, 108 from Warangal Urban and 45 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
