COVID-19 update: 2,214 new cases, eight deaths in Telangana

A total of 2,474 persons have recovered by Wednesday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,63,407 with a recovery rate of 84.40 per cent.

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2,214 new Covid-19 infections and eight fatalities on Wednesday, taking the overall toll to 1135 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,93,600. As on Wednesday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS are 29,058 out of which 23,702 are in home and institutional isolation.

A total of 2,474 persons have recovered by Wednesday, taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,63,407 with a recovery rate of 84.40 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 83.51 percent.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, 54,443 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 1,393 samples are awaited. So far, a total of 30,50,444 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 22 from Adilabad, 99 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 305 from areas under the GHMC, 39 from Jagtiyal, 24 each from Jangaon and Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 27 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 66 from Kamareddy, 106 from Karimnagar, 99 from Khammam, 22 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 44 from Mahabubnagar, 59 from Mahabubabad, 33 each from Mancherial, 28 from Medak, 153 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 24 from Mulugu, 33 from Nagarkurnool, 149 from Nalgonda, 12 from Narayanpet, 18 from Nirmal, 65 from Nizamabad, 31 from Peddapally, 67 from Siricilla, 191 from Rangareddy, 52 from Sangareddy, 80 from Siddipet, 68 from Suryapet, 28 from Vikarabad, 38 from Wanaparthy, 37 from Warangal Rural, 131 from Warangal Urban and 40 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
