Covid-19 update: 2278 new cases, 10 deaths in Telangana

A total of 2,458 persons have recovered by Friday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,21,925 with a recovery rate of 78.7 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 77.75 percent.

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 2,278 new Covid-19 infections and 10 fatalities on Friday, taking the overall toll to 950 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 1,54,880. As on Friday, the total active Covid-19 cases in TS are 32,005.

A total of 2,458 persons have recovered by Friday, taking the overall Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 1,21,925 with a recovery rate of 78.7 percent, while the countrywide recovery rate is 77.75 percent.

Between Thursday and Friday, the health authorities conducted 62,234 Covid tests in the State while reports of another 2,027 samples are awaited. Overall, so far authorities have conducted 20,78,695 Covid-19 tests in the State.

As many as 25,050 patients are under home isolation across the State while 6,955 positive cases are in institutional care.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts include 25 from Adilabad, 80 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 331 from areas under GHMC, 56 from Jagtiyal, 31 from Jangaon, 27 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 21 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 78 from Kamareddy, 121 from Karimnagar, 98 from Khammam, 26 from Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, 34 from Mahabubnagar, 76 from Mahabubabad, 43 from Mancherial, 24 from Medak, 150 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 12 from Mulugu, 34 from Nagarkurnool, 126 from Nalgonda, 22 from Narayanpet, 23 from Nirmal, 89 from Nizamabad, 48 from Peddapally, 53 from Rajanna Siricilla, 184 from Rangareddy, 62 from Sangareddy, 89 each from Siddipet, 82 from Suryapet, 23 from Vikarabad, 42 from Wanaparthy, 28 from Warangal Rural, 91 from Warangal Urban and 49 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
