Hyderabad: Popular French DJ David Guetta and his fans have been through some harrowing experiences over the last few days with Guetta’s charity concerts in Bengaluru and Mumbai being scrapped citing security concerns. However, in Hyderabad, where the police accorded permission to the show, the Cyberabad Police has gone one step ahead, with a tweet on Friday welcoming the star performer to the city.

The Cyberabad Police tweeted from its official handle (@cyberabadpolice), saying ‘Welcome to Hyderabad, David Guetta. Look forward to hosting you tomorrow. Cyberabad Police is committed to ensure a glitch free event as always.’

A few minutes after the tweet was posted, came a response to the same, from IT Minister KT Rama Rao, who quoted the welcome tweet and said ‘CP Saab, request you to please make sure to have enough SHE teams & personnel.’ The Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya responded with a prompt ‘Yes Sir’ to the Minister’s request.

Meanwhile, the approach of the Cyberabad Police has triggered applause from Twitterati, many of whom said police forces in Bengaluru and Mumbai had a ‘lot to learn’ from the manner in which Hyderabad was welcoming the artiste. Many applauded the ‘courage and confidence’ of the Cyberabad Police, while some appreciated in the manner in which the Minister followed up the Cyberabad Police’s initiative in ensuring that the event went ahead as planned. Fans of the DJ termed the approach of the Cyberabad Police as ‘reassuring’, especially for Guetta after the Bengaluru and Mumbai fiasco.
