Daily water supply in Hyderabad by 2017 end: KTR

The daily water supply will commence in all areas of Hyderabad by end of 2017, provided the State receives good rains this monsoon, says Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao.

Hyderabad: The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao said the daily water supply will commence in all areas of the city by this year end, provided there were good rains this monsoon.

Reiterating the State government‘s commitment to improve the infrastructure and basic amenities in the city, he said focus was being laid on conserving and improving water bodies and parks.

Launching a new water storage reservoir at Nallagandla here on Thursday, Mr. Rao said in addition to the Rs.1,400 crore and Rs.1,000 crore sanctioned to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board and GHMC respectively, Rs.4000 crore worth works would be taken up out of budget.
