Dasari responding well to treatment

Hyderabad: The health condition of veteran film personality Dasari Narayan Rao is improving gradually, a statement from the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) said.

According to MD and CEO of KIMS, Dr B Bhaskar Rao, the film director is out of dialysis, as his kidneys have started to regain functionality.

“On Thursday morning, we had removed ventilator support for some time. However, since his body was weak to handle, we have put him back on ventilator support. We did tracheotomy surgical procedure to help him breathe better and he is expected to recover in three to four days,” Dr Bhaskar Rao said.

Earlier, Dasari was operated for kidney failure, sepsis and respiratory failure. According to the KIMS official, the health condition of Dasari is being monitored round the clock by a team of experts and everything is being done to ensure his speedy recovery.
