Hyderabad: In a open letter addressed to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Saturday, demanded immediate declaration of the 11th Pay Revision Commission (PRC) with suitable fitment for the government employees and teachers in the State.
Commending the role of government employees during the Telangana agitation particularly during the 42-day long ‘Sakala Janula Samme’, the TPCC president said the government had failed to fulfil their genuine aspirations. “What is the reason behind extending the time limit of PRC by 10 more months. Why details for the extension were not declared in public domain,” he said.
He said the PRC would not be a financial burden on a financially stable State like Telangana as several employees had retired in recent years. “At least declare interim relief like the earlier Congress governments did,” he said.
He alleged that the government had not taken up promotions or inter-district or intra-district transfers. “The teachers who were appointed in one cadre are retiring in the same cadre, which is gross injustice,” he said.
