Adilabad: A youngster and his lover were run over by a train at Batisavargaon village in Adilabad mandal on Wednesday. Police believe it could be a case of suicide as the couple were stated to be in love and dejected over life after their parents refused consent for their marriage because of the caste factor.
Adilabad Rural Inspector Purushottam said that the couple was idenfied as Mukesh (24), a driver from Dubbaguda and Kalyani (19), a degree student and a resident of Tailor’s colony in Batisavargoan village.
Police said that both Mukesh and Kalyani resorted to the drastic step when they were upset after parents of Kalyani did not oblige their wish to wed each other. It is learned that Mukesh was thrashed by father of the girl, who was a police constable, recently. The pair decided to commit suicide, following rejection of their love from their family members and elders of their communities.

Mukesh and Kalyani fell in love each other few months back. Parents of Kalyani turned down her move to marry the driver as he was outside their community. They were reportedly not allowing her to talk to the youngster.
