Development of historic shrines our priority, says Indrakaran Reddy

Vemulawada (Rajanna-Sircilla): Endowments Minister A Indrakaran Reddy said Telangana government was taking steps to develop historic and famous temples of the State.

The Minister along with local MLA Ch Ramesh Babu presented silk clothes to Raja Rajeshwara Swamy of Vemulwada on behalf of the State government.

Later speaking to reporters, he termed presentation of clothes to Lord Shiva as a great opportunity for him. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was giving priority for the development of historic shrines which had been neglected earlier.

Talking about the development of Vemulawada shrine, Indrakaran Reddy said KCR had constituted Vemulawda Temple Development Authority and continuing as chairman of the body since he had personal attachment with the shrine.

Acquirement of 35 acres of land for the temple had been completed and other works would be started after getting approval from Sringeri Peetham.
