Mancherial: Members of Mancherial Homeopathic Physicians Association congratulated local legislator Nadipelli Diwakar Rao for realising long-standing demands of the citizens by securing grants above Rs 200 crore, here on Friday.
The doctors, led by president of the body, Dr M Praveen Kumar Reddy, met Diwakar Rao in the latter’s residence. They were all praise for the legislator for getting the funds for taking up a slew of development works. They complimented him for playing a vital role in betterment of the town.
The doctors said Rao had played a key role in government sanctioning grants to construct a bridge across the Godavari from the outskirts of Mancherial to Goliwada village in Anthargoan mandal of Peddapalli district and other development works.
In addition, the town is going to be beautified with Rs 15 crore. The estimated value of these works is Rs 237.64 crore. Secretary of the association V Gouri Shankar, members K Krishna, G Sunil Kumar, K Sugunakar Reddy, Iqbal, K Kiran Kumar, B Naveen and Dr N Upadyay were present.
