Hyderabad: Shiv Bahadur Singh alias SB Singh alias Pandit, the kingpin in the TS Eamcet-II 2016 (Medical) entrance examination question paper case, allegedly has a history of leaking question papers of various competitive examinations since 2005, according to CID officials.
Thirty-seven-year-old Singh, a property dealer, and his assistant Anoop Kumar Singh alias Sony, a driver, were arrested from their native place in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. They were brought to the city on a transit warrant, said CID Additional Director-General of Police Govind Singh here on Wednesday.
Singh was involved in the Railway Group-D question paper leak case in Lucknow apart from the Railway Drivers examination paper in Allahabad. In 2015, he was involved in the TET examination leak case and two similar cases related to Public Service Commission examinations in Punjab.
In 2015, he allegedly leaked the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers examination paper and is wanted in the Coal India case as well. He was responsible for the Vardha Medical College paper case in Maharashtra and Chandigarh Teachers Examination leak case, the official said.
Sources said Singh would be able to give more information about the Delhi printing press worker, Ranadeer, who reportedly handed over the question paper to him for Rs 10 lakh. Ranadeer died of a brain tumour in September 2016. An official said efforts were on to collect more information on how Singh came in contact with Ranadeer and managed to secure the question paper.
