Electoral rolls revision from Dec 26 in Telangana

Rajat said both Central and State governments extended a good support to conduct the maiden election of Telangana successfully.

Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Dr Rajat Kumar on Thursday said the Election Commission of India (ECI) had decided to give certificates of appreciation to the officials took part in the electoral process in the State.

Speaking to the media, he said the elections were held peacefully and in an incident-free manner. He said the list of 119 elected representatives was submitted to Chief Secretary Dr SK Joshi. Rajat said both Central and State governments extended a good support to conduct the maiden election of Telangana successfully.

The CEO said the revision of electoral rolls would start from December 26 and requested new voters and missing voters to ensure their names are enrolled in the final rolls. “Voters should take it as their responsibility and check their names in the list every year without fail,” Rajat advised.
