Hyderabad: Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra disclosed that the former Indian cricketer Chetan Chauhan tested positive for the coronavirus. Chauhan, who also serves as a cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh government, is the latest cricketer to test positive after Pakistan’s Shahid Afridi and a few England-bound cricketers tested positive recently. Former Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza too contracted the virus.
“Chetan Chauhan ji has also tested positive for #COVID-19. Sending best wishes in his direction too…get well soon, sir. Tough night this one…Big B and Chetan Ji,” said Aakash in a tweet. “Just heard about @ChetanChauhanCr ji Chetan has tested positive for #coronavirus. Praying for his speedy recovery. #prey (sic.),” said RP Singh.
Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh took to twitter to wish speedy recovery for Amitabh Bachchan who tweeted that he had contracted the virus on Saturday. After Amitabh tweeted about the news, Sachin took to twitter writing, “Take care Amit ji. Praying for your good health and quick recovery.”
Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh said, “Wishing you a speedy recovery @SrBachchan. The prayers and good wishes of the entire country are behind you. You have always been a fighter and will see this through too with your will power and resilience. Hope you get well really soon.” Former cricketer Irfan Pathan and Suresh Raina too joined them in wishing well for the legendary Bollywood actor.
