Hyderabad: Chief cartoonist of ‘Namasthe Telangana’ Telugu Newspaper, Mrityunjay Chiluveru will present his works at an exhibition being organised by Indian Institute of Cartoonists in Bengaluru from September 8.

The exhibition of cartoons and caricatures by Mrityunjay will be open till September 22. Mrityunjay is eloquent in sketching, digital painting, caricaturing and illustrating as he is into making fun of every possible situation.

He started his career as a cartoonist in 1996 and after working for political periodical, newspapers, got engaged with digital media as head of animation with news channel.

Mrityunjay has taken part in several cartoon workshops in Hyderabad, Kerala and Bengaluru. His cartoons were also exhibited in different countries including China, Brazil, Romania, Turkey and Italy.

He was honoured with special awards including ‘Excellency Award’ from Greece, the ‘Best Cartoonist’ from China and stood first in National AIDS cartoon contest held in India.

He also bagged special prize from Romania Cartoon contest, Best Political Cartoonist award from ‘Nava Telangana’ daily and 2017 Mayakamath Memorial award in political cartoon contest.
