A song titled “Achhe din kab aayenge,” from the movie Fanney Khan – starring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rao Bachchan and Rajkumar Rao – was released a week ago. And now, the makers of the movie have come up with another version of the same song titled “Achhe din aagaye”.
Why is it a point of discussion?
It is speculated that the change in the lyrics came after immense pressure by the BJP government which intensely used the phrase “Acche din aane waale hai” as a slogan for campaign before the 2014 general election. Whether the makers changed it under pressure or not is still unknown.
However, the director of the movie Atul Manjrekar has said that the lyrics have been changed due to the unwanted political relation surrounding it.
Meanwhile, netizens, who do not leave any opportunity to take a dig at almost anyone, aren’t sparing the government either.
They are now using the song to troll the government, as the phrase “Acche din aane waale hai”.
Much to everybody’s surprise, the first version which released a week ago, has not been taken off YouTube.
