Mahabubnagar: Mahabubnagar Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari appealed to the people to feel safe while exercising their vote on Friday, as adequate security arrangements were made by the Police Department across the district.

Addressing the media on Thursday, Rajeshwari said CCTV cameras were installed in many of the schools which were made polling booths and that she herself would be monitoring the elections from the command control room set up at the District Police Headquarters.

She said along with polling patrolling teams, striking forces, local police and paramilitary forces were also stationed for every 10 km. She thanked the police personnel for the work they had been doing to ensure the safety of voters for the last two months and also appreciated the people of Mahabubnagar for cooperating with the police in ensuring that to happen.
