Hyderabad: The free annual administration of fish ‘prasadam’ to asthma patients by Bathini brothers will be held at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, on June 8 from 9.30 am till 9.30 am the next day.
GHMC, water works, fire, electricity, police, TSRTC and other departments are making elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the programme. The Fisheries Department will be providing two lakh fish.
In addition to these, many voluntary organisations such as Badri Vishal Pannalal Pitti Trust, Agarwal Seva Dal would help administer fish ‘prasadam’, said Bathini Harinath Goud at a press conference here on Thursday.
They would provide free meals, snacks, water and buttermilk to the patients, who come across the country for the ‘prasadam’. For vegetarian patients, the Bathini family would prepare a separate ‘prasadam’ with jaggery. However, vegetarians need to take the prasadam for a longer period, Goud said.
After taking the prasadam, separate prasadam in the form of pills will be given to patients, which should be taken on three occasions — on June 23, July 8 and July 23. Patients are supposed to follow a strict diet prescribed by the Bathini brothers.
