Five held for selling essential commodities at higher price in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Five persons were caught by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force teams for selling essential commodities at a higher price in the city. The police seized huge quantity of pulses from them. Acting on a tip off, the team raided shops at Banjara Hills, Asifnagar, Jubilee Hills, Nampally and Mangalhath areas in the city on Thursday. “The traders were selling the essential commodities at a higher price to the customers taking advantage of the lockdown in the State,” said the Task Force officials.

In a separate case, the Task Force caught one person Ishanth Raj Singh (31) of Mangalhat for selling IMFL liquor. The police seized 60 bottles of from him. “Raj Singh was selling the liquor bottles violating the lockdown orders,” said the police.
