Hyderabad: Condemning violence in New Delhi coinciding with the high profile visit of US President Donald Trump and his family, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy said that holding national flag in one hand and killing a police man on duty with stones can’t be considered as nationalism. Kishan Reddy who addressed a press conference here at the BJP state head quarters on Tuesday said that the centre will go deep into the roots of conspiracy to foment violence just as when the US First Citizen was landing in Delhi and will bring the perpetrates to justice.

“Time and again in many forums the government said that the Citizenship Amendment Act is not aimed at any Indian citizen. But certain institutions and political parties are trying to spread hatred and create trouble, this is not good for the country,” Kishan Reddy observed. He said that these forces that are unable to attack the Narendra Modi government politically are trying to create communal violence by playing with emotions of the minority community.

“We have credible information that the violence was preplanned. A situation was deliberately created making the minorities insecure that they will be packed and sent to Pakistan or Bangladesh. CAA is meant for truncating the period of wait to get Indian citizenship for persecuted religious minorities, the status of no Indian will be affected ,” he said urging minorities not to believe the false propaganda.

“In Delhi private property was damaged, a police man and other were killed just as when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working hard to create an image for India, so that there will be investment, poverty alleviation, development of basic infrastructure in rural India, more industries, a push for make in India, and finally to achieve a 5 trillion dolor economy,” he rued.

Patience Ran out

Making it clear that road blocks in the name of Shaheen Bagh sit outs can’t be spared any more, Kishan Reddy said that the patience has ran out now. “We have been telling states to go easy on protestors even though the Shaheen Bagh protesters blocked a high way. But now we have to be real strict cause our lenience is construed as weakness,” he warned.

Asad Responsible

Holding AIMIM Chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi responsible for the false propaganda against the CAA, he said that the language of the MP has been harsh and far from reality. “Just as when arson was in progress in Delhi, both Congress and AIMIM were holding anti CAA rallies in Hyderabad. They have not answered my simple question, will any single Muslim be affected by CAA in India?,” he said.

Criticising the Telangana government for deciding to pass a resolution against CAA in state legislature, Kishan Reddy the TRS party is riding on a Tiger by taking sides with Majlis. Collection of census is a constitutional obligation, Hyderabad Municipal council can’t pass resolution opposing a central Act,” he said. Kishan who cut short his visit to Hyderabad and was returning to New Delhi said appealed to political parties to help maintain peace.
