Hyderabad: The Balapur police on Tuesday nabbed four Myanmar nationals, including a woman, who illegally migrated to Hyderabad, along with one local who arranged fake Aadhaar and voter cards for them by cheating authorities concerned.

The arrested were Mohammed Elias, his wife Yasmeen Aira Begum, Noor Rashid, Murshid Alam, all natives of Moundur, Myanmar, and Mohammed Bin Omer from Barkas, Chandrayangutta. Another suspect Ahsan Zia Ansari, a resident of Kamatipura, is on the run.
According to the police, the Myanmar nationals had migrated to Hyderabad and were living in Balapur. They became friends with Bin Omer and Ansari who arranged voter identity cards for Elias and his wife Yasmeen by giving a false declaration of electricity bills to officials. In similar fashion, the others too got fake identity proofs done and claimed Indian citizenship.
Following specific inputs, the Balapur police caught them and verified their antecedents. They were remanded in judicial custody.
