Four held in Nalgonda for stealing Mission Bhagiratha taps

On May 5, they had stolen 4,500 GIG taps to be used for Mission Bhagiratha works which were stored near Haliya Water Plant

Nalgonda: Haliya Police arrested four persons for stealing taps to be used for Mission Bhagiratha works, the material was stocked at Haliya Water Plant and is worth Rs 10 lakh.

The arrested persons were identified as Vemula Sai Kumar (20), Vemula Kotesh (23) and Vemula Mallesh (25), all natives of Sai Pratahap Nagar in Haliya, and Vade Santhosh (40), a resident of  Bagh Amberpet in Hyderabad.

Presenting the accused persons before the media at Haliya police station, Miryalaguda Deputy Superintendent of Police Srinivas said Vemula Sai Kumar, Vemula Kotesh and Vemula Mallesh stole 4,500 GIG taps to be used for Mission Bhagiratha works, stored near Haliya Water Plant, on May 5.

Of the 4,500 taps, they sold 2,500 taps to Santhosh and remaining were sold to Mallesh. The police recovered all the stolen taps from their possession. A case was filed against the arrested and they were produced in the court. Haliya Circle Inspector K Danunjaya and Sub Inspector Veera Raghavulu were also present.
