Warangal Urban: Fresh tenders will soon be called for the preparation of the ‘Master Plan’ considering the present development projects like outer ring road (ORR) and others. The master plan would be approved in about five to six months, said Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) chairman Marri Yadava Reddy.
He also said that a special GO will be issued to facilitate the applicants of the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS), who are facing problems due to non-approval of the master plan and get authorisation without much difficulty.
Addressing a press conference at the KUDA office in Hanamkonda on Saturday, Yadava Reddy said that city dwellers are facing hardships to get their plots regularised under the LRS as the master plan prepared in 2013 had not been approved due to various reasons.
“However, we have urged MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao to help the LRS applicants to get their land regularised by issuing a special GO,” he said, adding that the meeting on the preparation of the master plan would be taken up on March 4 in the city.
He said that the master plan for Warangal city was prepared in 2013 and submitted to the government had not been approved as several development projects were sanctioned by the TRS government including the ORR and radial roads.
“However, we are going to call for fresh tenders for the preparation of the master plan which would consider the ORR and other recent proposals for the development,” Yadava Reddy added.
On the other hand, the KUDA chairman said that they are going to develop three junctions- Hanamkonda bus station, Naidu petrol pump and Madikonda- which would be developed as model junctions against the total of 47 junctions identified for the development in the city.
KUDA Planning Officer E Ajit Reddy was present at the press meet.
