Sangareddy: A 17-year-old girl was found murdered at Ameenpur Hills in Sangareddy district on Tuesday morning.
Chandini Jain, from Miyapur and student of a corporate college in Bachupally, left home around 7 am for college on September 9 and did not return till evening. The next day, her elder sister, Nivedita, approached the Miyapur police.

Miyapur police identified the body as Chandini Jain. Superintendent of Police S Chandrashekar Reddy confirmed it was a case of murder, but the police are yet to ascertain if the girl was killed Ameenpur Hills or elsewhere. The Ameenpur police registered a case and are probing into it.
Meanwhile, forensics experts at Gandhi Hospital, who on conducted a post-mortem examination on Tuesday, sent the viscera, vaginal swabs, and hair and nails samples to the Forensics Science Laboratory (FSL), Hyderabad.
The girl’s body was brought to hospital in a decomposed state and this made it difficult to gather clues. “The short opinion given on the day of autopsy performed did not have a proper conclusion on the cause of death as the body was decomposed,” a senior police official said.
“Wounds were found on both knees, while there were abrasions on the neck and stomach,” one of the forensics experts said, adding that it was too early to conclude how the girl died.
