Give deworming tablets to children, parents in Nizamabad told

Nizamabad: Every one should participate in National Deworming Day and help students lead a healthy life, said Nizamabad Collector M Rammohan Rao.

He was participating in Deworming Day programme at Nirmala Hrudai High School on Friday. Collector said in our country children from one year to 19-year-old youth face problems due to worms in their intestinal system. It also create hurdles in their growth, he added.

To prevent it government was conducting Deworming Day twice in a year and providing deworming tablets in schools and other places. Parents and teachers should give deworming tablets to their children and students, Collector added.

Rao said these tablets had no side effects, give 200 mg tablet to children aged between 1 and 2 years and 400 mg tablet to children aged between 3 to 19 years.

These tablets are available at all anganwadis, government and private schools.

Additional DMHO Dr Sudershan, Dr Santosh and Dr Dinesh, National Deworming Day Coordinator Sailoo, MEO Ramulu and school staff participated.
