Hyderabad: Sameer Sharma, Director, National Mission on Smart Cities on Thursday wanted the works on development of roads, parks and solar roof tops to be taken up on priority in Karimnagar, which is one of the 30 cities that were included in Smart City mission in June last year.
He conducted a review meeting with the officials associated with the Smart City mission in the State. He wanted them to be abreast with the issues pertaining to the implementation of relevant projects in other cities before going ahead with similar projects in Karimnagar smart city.
He also wanted the works taken up under the smart city mission to be separated from the works taken up under the Chief Minister’s assurance funds so that there will not be any overlapping of schemes.
He also discussed projects such as Manair Riverfront development, smart roads, development of archeological museum, bus terminal, tourist information centre integrated command control room and other facilities proposed as part of the mission.
