Global Entrepreneurship Summit creates a buzz on social media

The plenary session moderated by Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao garnered the highest number of views both on Facebook and YouTube, among all the videos aired during the three day session.

Hyderabad: The three-day Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) 2017 held in Hyderabad created a huge buzz on social media.

With the Industries Minister K.T. Rama Rao, Offices of US State Department, US Ambassador to India, US Consul General Hyderabad and Niti Aayog posting regular updates about GES on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, the followers stayed tuned to the updates.

Interestingly, the plenary session moderated by Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao garnered the highest number of views both on Facebook and YouTube, among all the videos aired during the three day session.

US State Department Facebook page had streamed the video of the session moderated by Minister KT Rama Rao titled “We Can Do It! Innovations in Workforce Development and Skills Training”, in which Ivanka Trump, advisor to US President was one of the panelists.

On YouTube, a whopping 46,27,673 people had watched the session video on various channels. On Facebook too, the cumulative reach of this video streamed by various pages crossed 5 million at last count.

The 6.29 Minute intro video of the session, in which the Minister spoke about the various initiatives taken by Telangana government and also introduced the panelists, was a huge hit on WhatsApp. It was shared extensively among the tech circles from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and even those in Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Gurgaon were posting this video on WhatsApp groups.

Google Search Trends also revealed that there was a huge spike in searches such as “KTR Speech at GES” and “KTR Speech in GES” during the past two days.
