Nizamabad: Officials should encourage people to perform cashless transactions voluntarily rather than forcing them. Then only people would take up interest in doing cashless transactions, said Nizamabad collector Yogita Rana.
District officials on Friday conducted awareness programme on cashless transactions and BHIM app at ZP conference hall. At the occasion collector said that officials forcefully enforced people, to perform cashless transactions in fair price shops, due to this, people faced problems and refused to conduct transactions.
Rana said that officials should educate people about cashless transactions and create awareness among them about profits of cashless transactions, and then only they come forward to conduct transactions.
Rana informed that with cashless transactions, we prevent corruption and irregularities in many sectors like civil supplies and many other departments. We should educate people and start cashless transactions, and with the help of people only it will succeed and make them partners in this huge exercise, she added.
Rana also said the officials should take the help of BHIM app and simplify the cashless transactions without a smartphone and perform such transactions with a basic phone.
