Good outing for Pranjala in ITF Women’s Nonthaburi tennis tourney

Hyderabad: City girl Yadlapalli Pranjala had a good outing as she reached women’s singles semis and doubles finals in the ITF Women’s $25,000 Nonthaburi tennis tournament at the National Tennis Development Centre, Nonthaburi in Thailand on Thursday.

In the singles, the Indian got the better of Korea’s Dabin Kim 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-2 in a three-set match.

She later combined will with her partner Rutuja Bhosale of India to defeat Japanese pair of Hiroko Kiwata and Junri Namigata 6-4, 7-6(4) to enter the title round.

Doubles: Semifinals: Yadlapalli Pranjala/Rutuja Bhosale (Ind) (3) Bt Hiroko Kuwata/Junri Namigata (Jpn) (2) 6-4,7-6(4).
