Hyderabad: District in-charge Collector M Prashanti on Monday said the administration would extend necessary help to the 51 families whose huts were gutted in a fire accident that took place a few days ago near Exhibition Grounds here.
“We will soon take up a survey to study the social and economical background of the affected families,” she said and added that Rs 8,000 would be given to the each family as financial assistance. She reminded that the Revenue, Fire Services Department and Police swung into action after huts caught fire and took up relief and rescue operation immediately.
During the weekly Mee Kosam programme, she asked tahsildhars to give adequate publicity about the programme in their respective mandals. She also advised officials concerned to address the grievances aired at the Mee Kosam programme and received petitions relating to pensions and job opportunities.
At the weekly Prajavani programme, Ranga Reddy district Joint Collector S Sunder Abner asked officials to take necessary steps to resolve the problems that were discussed at the programme. He said authorities’ should accord priority to solve people issues and render justice to them.
