Goverdhan Rao takes charge as Registrar of NIT-Warangal

Goverdhan Rao has worked in different units of the Department of Atomic Energy including Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai, Nuclear Fuel Complex in Hyderabad, and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu, etc.

Warangal Urban: S Goverdhan Rao, Director (Planning & Administration) of the Department of Atomic Energy, assumed charge as Registrar, National Institute of Technology, Warangal, on Thursday.

Goverdhan Rao has worked in different units of the Department of Atomic Energy including Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Mumbai, Nuclear Fuel Complex in Hyderabad, and Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu, etc.

He was also holding the charge of Internal Financial Adviser and Vigilance Officer in IGCAR, Kalpakkam. He is a post-graduate in Public Policy and Management from Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru, LLB from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and PG Diploma in Patents Law from NALSAR University.

After a long gap, NIT-Warangal now has a regular Registrar. He assured that it would be his endeavour to address the pending issues, including revision of pay as per the orders based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission, revision of pension of pre-2016 retired employees, filling up of vacancies, etc.

Prof. N V Ramana Rao, Director, NIT-Warangal, congratulated the new Registrar Goverdhan Rao and thanked Prof. Laxma Reddy who rendered services as Registrar in-charge till Thursday. Faculty members, students and representatives of different associations have welcomed new Registrar Goverdhan Rao.
