Govt committed to provide Rs 5 meal for poor

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is committed to providing meals at Rs 5 for poor people and the unemployed, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said here on Monday.

Speaking after inaugurating a Rs 5 Annapurna meals canteen at Sultan Bazaar Maternity Hospital here, he highlighted the measures being taken by the municipal corporation to help the poor.

He said several people, including autorickshaw drivers and marketing executives were utilising the facility.
