Mahabubnagar: Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said performance of government schools was much better than compared to their show in the previous years due to various steps initiated by the State government such as improving infrastructure and quality of education besides starting new Gurukul schools in Telangana.
Addressing students at ZPHS Addakal during the inauguration of additional classrooms which were constructed in the school, he said quality midday meal was being provided to children studying in government schools and that 8 lakh girls who were studying in government educational institutions were being given special kits for their essential needs.
He also explained the various steps being taken by the State government in the field of public healthcare. He said it was the dream of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to ensure a bright future for the children of the State.
Minister Laxma Reddy and Devarkadra MLA Ala Venkateshwar Reddy also inaugurated the newly constructed Mandal Parishad Office in Addakal which was constructed with a cost of Rs 45 lakh and planted saplings on the office premises.
Earlier in the day, he also distributed new clothes to economically backward Muslim families as part of the Ramzan clothes distribution programme held in some villages in Moosapet mandal.
