Green Challenge: Gangula nominates all Ministers

Accepting the challenge thrown by Santhosh Kumar, Telangana Union of Working Journalists and Press Academy jointly organised a plantation programme in Giddeperumandla temple, where the Minister also planted saplings on Monday.

Karimnagar: BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar on Monday nominated all the Ministers in the State to take up the Green Challenge initiated by Rajya Sabha MP J Santosh Kumar.

Accepting the challenge thrown by Santhosh Kumar, Telangana Union of Working Journalists and Press Academy jointly organised a plantation programme in Giddeperumandla temple, where the Minister also planted saplings on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister appreciated journalists for organising the programme. It was a good decision to plant saplings in the 18 acres of land available on the temple premises, he opined and emphasised the need to plant saplings on a massive scale to protect the environment. He urged people to plant saplings and grow them in the same way as they bring up their children.
