Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed when two groups clashed at Bapujinagar under Bowenpally police station limits on Saturday. The police said Murthy along with a friend Shiva from Borabanda met his relative D Narasimha (25), an autorickshaw trolley driver, at Bapujinagar and picked up an argument for intimidating him on a mobile phone over a trivial issue.

On seeing this, Narasimha’s friends Sekhar and Sai Goud came to his rescue. Murthy then tried to attack the trio with a blade and in the process, Goud suffered injuries on his hand. Based on a complaint, the police registered a case and took up the investigation.

In a separate case, an autorickshaw driver Saleem suffered serious head injuries after an unidentified person attacked him for accidentally falling on him in an inebriated condition at Golconda on Saturday. The police are examining footage in surveillance cameras installed in the locality to identify the culprits.
