Hyderabad: The first batch of Haj pilgrims will commence their journey from Haj House in Hyderabad on Sunday. Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali will flag off the first bus at the Haj Camp and also first flight at the Haj Terminal in Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) of Shamshabad.
Altogether 14 flights with 450 pilgrims each will leave for Jeddah carrying pilgrims from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The Haj House in Hyderabad is serving as Haj Camp for pilgrims from all three States. The First Haj Flight will take off at 2:50 am on August 14 from the RGIA Haj Terminal. The pilgrims, clad in Ehram (Two white unsewn sheets of clothes), will leave the Haj Camp for airport in special RTC buses on the night of August 13.
The Haj Camp 2017 commenced on Saturday with the arrival of the Haj pilgrims of first two flights at Haj House in Nampally. Syed Omer Jaleel, Secretary for Minorities Welfare Department and Prof SA Shukoor, Special Officer of Telangana State Haj Committee received the pilgrims at the Haj Camp.
