Harish inaugurates godown at Mittapally

Siddipet: Irrigation and Marketing Minister T Harish Rao called upon villagers, public representatives and officials to join hands to develop Mittapally village of Siddipet mandal into a model village. After inaugurating a 5,000 metric tonnes capacity godown constructed at a cost of Rs 3 crore on the outskirts of Mittapally village on Thursday, the Minister proceeded towards the village and inaugurated a new Zilla Parishad building, constructed at a cost of Rs 41 lakh.

After laying the foundation stone for a slew of development works in the village, Rao said that they have granted Rs 12 crore for various development works to be taken up in the village and asked them to work closely with officers to complete them on a war-footing. He said that they have granted Rs one crore for laying a road that connects Mittapally with Narasapur.

The Minster also announced a special grant of Rs 25 lakh to restore the ancient Chenna Keshava temple and agreed to get some funds to develop Choudalamma temple. He also agreed to provide dual desks at the Zilla Parishad High School by allocating Rs 15 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund besides constructing separate toilets for boys and girls. 

In the presence of Municipal chairperson Kadaveru Rajanarsu, the Minister laid the foundation stone for the construction of separate buildings for Mahila Samakhya and Munnuru Kapu Community Hall. He also announced that the government has granted Rs 15 lakh for each of these buildings.
