Hoax alert: Wedding card worth Rs 1.5 lakh is not of Akash Ambani

The wedding card shown in the picture could be one of the India’s costliest.

Hyderabad: While social media was going gaga over the Virat Kohli-Anuskha Sharma wedding, there was one more wedding that had started to make some buzz. However, the hubbub did not last long, with the news turning out to be just a hoax.

Twitter was filled with photos and videos of an invitation card, said to be worth Rs 1.5 lakh and with the claim that it was of industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s eldest son Akash’s wedding. However, the Reliance Group itself came out and clarified that the card which was going viral on social media, was not of Akash’s wedding.

According to the grapevine, the wedding card shown in the picture could be one of the India’s costliest. According to the introductory video of the card, pure gold has been used to make the card, which was carved beautifully. Well, rumour or not, Twitteratis just needed a chance, and as soon as the hoax hit social media, several Twitteratis started comparing the cost of the invitation card to that of Apple’s iPhone X.

Earlier the card which created a buzz on social media was of the former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy’s daughter’s wedding. Which is believed to be one of the the most expensive cards and had a little LCD screen that gave a small teaser of “Bramhani Weds Rajeev Reddy.”
