Hyderabad: Tracking the construction work happening at the site is a difficult task. While some tools are available for the big companies, the same are missing for those consumers who like to oversee the construction personally. City-based Hocomoco (home construction and monitoring company) has developed a tool for end-users to digitally track the progress at the site.
The company is into residential and commercial construction, architectural and interior designing, property development and has now added e-monitoring services, said Sripad Nandiraj, founder, Hocomoco.
It undertakes construction projects and the price ranges from Rs 1,500-2,500 per sft. It will also assist its clients with permissions. The digital tool will allow tracking of timelines and also produce workforce reports, besides aiding in surveillance, he said, adding that it also has other technical applications like vendor management and material procurements to assist in operations.
“There is a demand for manpower and material management for individual house constructions. We are tapping this segment. We have so far done about 3.5 lakh sft in over 30 projects and our target is to reach 25 lakh sft,” he said.
On the benefits, he said house owners will also have access to services of select vendors. This will ensure that they get products whose quality is assured. This platform will also aid in bringing transparency on the pricing front and there will not be any cost overruns, said Nandiraj adding that it will also give a five year guarantee on the quality of construction and offers to repair or replace products that are faulty.
The company will add renovation and repair services also soon to the offerings and also foray into B2B offerings. Its portal is now garnering about 5,000 visits and the conversion rate, he said.
The construction activity has taken a hit now due to the Covid. However, once this settles down, a lot of construction will happen in the city surroundings, where new layouts are happening. There are many people who are planning to build individual houses.
