Hyderabad: Prof R Chandrasekar, senior faculty in the School of Chemistry at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been invited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), London, to become a Fellow of the Society under the ‘Leaders in the Field’ scheme.

Prof. Chandrasekar has been invited for his contributions to the field of Optical Energy

Management in Functional Molecular Nano/Micro-Scale Photonic Solids.

The RSC is a 175 year old professional body that works for academic and research excellence in chemical sciences and their applications. The election as fellow of the RSC, considered as a distinct academic honour, follows a rigorous peer recommendation process and is based on several criteria emphasizing that the nominee occupied a position of authority in his/her area of research with a high level of autonomy in work and communication and that he/she directed and supervised the research of professional scientists.
